Completed projects / Nyatenge Primary School

Completed 15th June 2015

Nyatenge Primary School now have their own water supply. It was completed after a major drilling pump breakdown looked like it would threaten completion, but WellBoring's drilling partner 'Ground Water Abstraction Kenya Outreach' worked tirelessly to get it repaired, and the project was completed on time.

The Nyatenge headteacher reports that prior to the borehole, they have 317 children on the school role, but that usually there are only around 278 in school at any one time as the others are at home, sick with water related illnesses such as diarrhoea.

We are looking forward to learning of the new and improved attendance rates at the school, and trust that the children can continue their learning without the interruptions that poor quality water used to bring them.
