Projects / Miguye Water Flows Freely

Completed January 2016

The drilling team had some challenges in January until striking water at Miguye School. The land around Miguye School seems particularly dry, and the caked ground can feel like rock.

Below you will hear John Otieno talking about the difference clean water will make, when we interviewed him back in 2015. Now the good news is the borehole is complete. Schoolchildren no longer have to go and beg for water. It's flowing freely.

John looked forward to the time when they have enough water for the school and are able to give water back to the community. That time has arrived.
