WHERE THERE´S A WILL, THERE´S A WELL
Millions in sub-Saharan Africa lack safe water access. Many source from contaminated rivers and ponds, leading to diseases like cholera and typhoid, causing some one million global deaths annually. Children, with their weaker immune systems, are particularly at risk. In 2020, the global under-5 mortality rate (U5MR) dropped to 37 deaths per 1000 live births, yet sub-Saharan Africa maintained the world’s highest rate at 74 deaths per 1000 live births—14 times higher than in Europe and North America. Besides health lack of safe water affects education, agriculture, inequality, and economic development.
SAFE WATER CHANGES LIFE AND FUTURE
NEW SAFE WATER WELLS AT PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Our wells uphold the right to safe water, delivering health, economic, and social advantages in rural Africa. WellBoring wells tap into the groundwater, ranging from 40 to over 80m based on surveys, providing safe water for drinking, irrigation, cooking, and washing—crucially reducing disease risks. Our sustainably constructed deep wells provide superior water quality, and our partnership means community buy-in and support.
Help us!WATER IS VITAL TO SUSTAINABILITY. WITHOUT IT, WE CAN’T SUSTAIN LIVES!
Meaningful change requires both dedication and transparency. If you’re seeking a partnership with an organization that takes the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to heart and tries to maximise the impact of each investment, then look no further. Let’s transform the world together:
- Long-term, affordable safe drinking water for water-stressed, rural communities in Sub-Saharan/EWA for the poorest people and vulnerable children (SDG 6).
- Improved health by preventing waterborne diseases like diarrhoea and cholera, benefiting especially children and reducing healthcare system strain (SDG 3).
- Enhanced education sustainability through increased enrollment, attendance, and learning in underserved areas via school-centric wells (SDG 4).
- Empowerment of women and disabled individuals in water management, reinforcing their community roles (SDG 5).
- Sustainable water provision in rural schools, supporting irrigation, food production, raised income, and poverty reduction (SDG 1).
- Combating hunger in schools by promoting school garden programs (SDG 2).
- Sustainable water management practices and technology that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as people don’t have to burn wood to boil unsafe water (SDG 13).
- As a global charity, we champion international collaboration and exchange with various partners, underscoring our Kenyan NGO and other alliances (SDG 17).
We are passionately committed to realizing the SDGs and dedicated to providing you with a comprehensive insight into how your generous contributions are utilized towards these goals. In doing so, you can grasp and communicate the impact of your corporate citizenship programs.
